President Buhari, VP Osinbajo Receive COVID-19 Vaccines
President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo today, March 6, received their first COVID-19 vaccine shot at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
They were by their Chief Personal Physicians Dr. Suhayb Rafindadi Sanusi and Dr. Nicholas Audifferen respectively, watched by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire and the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuaib.
“As a demonstration of leadership and faith in the safety and efficacy of the vaccines, I have received my first jab and I wish to commend it to all eligible Nigerians to do the same so that we can be protected from the virus.
“The vaccine offers hope for a safe country free of coronavirus,” the president said after he was vaccinated live on television.
Both the President and VP were also presented with the e-vaccination card by the NPHCDA Executive Director.
