FG renews Prof. Obaseki’s appointment as CMD, UBTH

The Federal Government of Nigeria has renewed the appointment of Prof. Darlington Obaseki as Chief Medical Director, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Benin city.

A Press Release by the hospital  signed by Mr. Joshua Uwaila, Head, Public Relations Unit,  disclosed that Prof. Obaseki  received the letter of appointment for his second term  from the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire in Abuja on Monday, July 19.

The release said the minister, while congratulating the CMD, described the renewal of his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari as an attestation that he has performed well during  his first tenure.

“Dr.  Ehanire urged him not to rest on his oars and work harder to exceed his achievements,” the release further said. 

Prof. Obaseki has, since his first appointment as CMD, on 17th August, 2017 embarked on a massive transformation of the hospital’s infrastructure and services.
