FG re-appoints Mohammed Mami, Registrar Health Records Officers Registration Board

The Federal Government has re-appointed Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Mami as Registrar/CEO of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN)

His re-appointment offer was conveyed to him through a letter dated Monday 17th July, signed by Director, Human Resource Management, Federal Ministry of Health, Alhaji Halad Keana, on behalf of the Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Adewole.

The offer came after his first four-year tenure ended recently.

Part of the letter, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent on Wednesday read: “I am directed to refer you to your letter reference HRB/HQ/FMOH/015/116 of 20th June 2017 on the above subject-matter and convey approval for the re-appointment of Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Mami as the Registrar/CEO of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria for a second and final term of four (4) years with effect from 13th July, 2017.

“While congratulating you on your re-appointment, we urge you to endeavour to keep up and improve upon the achievements you have accomplished at the Board.”

Meanwhile, the Health Information Managers Association of Nigeria (HIMAN) congratulated the Registrar on Wednesday.
The President of the association, Michael Mallo, said in a chat with our correspondent that he congratulated Mami and spoke with him on the telephone for over an hour on how to move the Board forward.

He urged the Registrar to shun any insinuation from any quarter that might jeopardize good working relationship between HIMAN and the Registrar.

“I called him this morning to congratulate him on behalf of our union. Representatives of the union will soon book an appointment with him to formally congratulate him. We should ensure we work together in unity to make this area of our health sector great like others,” he said.
