Lagos collapsed building: Health Minister orders medical aid for victims
As rescue efforts continue at the scene of three-storey building which collapsed in Lagos, Wednesday morning, Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, has directed all Federal Government health institutions in the state to provide necessary support for the government.
The aid is to ensure adequate health care services are given victims of the disaster.
In a statement made available to this newspaper by Director, Media and Public Relations in the ministry, Boade Akinola, the minister, “who is in touch with Lagos State officials,” also commiserates with families of the dead and Lagos State government, while wishing the injured, speedy recovery.
The building, which collapsed at Ita-Faji area of the state, had scores of persons inside it before it caved in. At least 22 persons have been rescued from the debris at the time of filing this report.
